One of the obvious benefits here is reach. Combined, all these education media companies can reach a lot of educators and education officials, effectively getting some great ideas into a lot of hands. Another benefit is that between them, these companies know and work with a lot of smart people. Writers, researchers, educators – accomplished thinkers and budding brilliants all combined to offer solutions to some really staggering challenges. What is education? What has it been to date? What should it be? Is our concept of schooling even adequate to address the needs of the next 10 years, let alone the next 50 years?
And perhaps most importantly, what are we getting right? Are we too quick to rush to judgement? Not quick enough?
One thing I firmly believe is none of us is as smart as all of us. Between the publishers involved in this group known as The Education Media, there is a lot of experience and a lot of intellect. Our publishing platforms include The Learning Counsel, BE Podcast Network, EdNews Daily, Educate AI Magazine, ET Magazine and others. We also have partners from the public relations sector, the technology sector and public and private schools and districts advising us. It is a well-connected and impactful group. There are no majority shareholders, and no one is in this for the money.
We are all here for one reason and one reason only. To shake loose the good ideas and get them talked about. We want to ensure that everyone on the planet has access to the kind of learning opportunities that will grant us all a better future.
